3 Easy Ways to Add Christmas to your Decor!

December 2, 2018 By Lidia 20 Comments

Hello Christmas! One of my favorite things is to decorate our home for the holidays. And the best part is, you only need to change a few things up to get the Christmas vibe going!  I recently decked out our kitchen nook and now, every time I walk into it, it brings a huge smile to my face!  And all I did was change up 3 things.

My Kitchen Nook “Before”

Here’s what my kitchen nook looks like on a regular basis after it got its mini-makeover last year.

Steeped in neutrals of black, white and grey, the accent color I had chosen was red, something that is naturally Christmas-y. But no matter what color scheme you have, a few holiday elements will easily up your Christmas decor game!

What did I change?

Only a few elements – 3 to be specific!

1.  New Prints:  I replaced my beloved Rifle Paper Co prints with new “prints” which were really dollar store place-mats:

Aren’t they cute?!?!

2.  Faux Florals:  I added some decorative faux floral accents to some of the key pieces in the space:

3.  Pillows:  I changed out one of the pillows to a more Christmas themed one (and seriously Santa, I tried this year!!!)

Easy right?!  And oh so festive!!!

Your kitchen nook is amazing to begin with, love the red! I really like how you added simple pieces for Christmas. It makes it festive without being over the top.
