Our Master Bedroom Progress: We have a Bed!

Remember when we sort of, accidentally, came up with a new master bedroom scheme?  Well it’s starting to take shape!

We chose a mattress and the winner was Casper!

My hubby did a LOT of online research including websites like “Sleep like the Dead“, an unbiased and independent reviewer of mattresses.  We also hit mattress stores to figure out the kind of bed we wanted and actually FEEL what the different options of foam, spring and hybrid were like.  Those trips led us to a list of  factors our new mattress had to have:

• No sinking in, mud-like feeling
• Foam only – no springs that we would eventually feel
• No movement transfer (I get up about twice a night and my hubby knew exactly when those times were!)

The Casper mattress seemed to check all of these boxes so we decided to try it out!

Ordering and Setting it Up

Casper has 3 mattress models to choose from:

• The “Essential”
• The “Casper”
• The “Wave”

We went with the middle-of-the-road model, the “Casper” in a king size.  We also purchased a foundation (I wanted the extra height) and a mattress cover to protect our new investment.  Everything came within a few days of ordering and the set up couldn’t have been easier:  just open the box, place your mattress on top of your foundation, remove the plastic and let it decompress!

The Result?

A good night sleep.  FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All of our expectations were met – no mud-like feeling and all sorts of comfort.  I no longer wake up with a sore anything!
