The lovely Joann of “Woman in Real Life” and Lisa Marie of “Fabulous Habits” are hosting a Canada Day Blog Hop this week and I threw my hat in to show you my latest obsession, modern wreaths! And this one was easy (and I mean EASY) to make. It all revolves around this floral tile I found at Michaels:
I took a dollar store frame that was for a 4″ x 6″ photo and I printed off this free image:
The grid design on the back of the floral tile and some ribbon is how this whole thing is going to come together!
I first strung one piece of ribbon through the frame along the top and repeated the process for the bottom.
Then I flipped the floral tile over and threaded the ribbon through the top and the bottom of the floral tile.
Tie each set of ribbon ends together tight and we’re in business!
To mount the wreath, I used a regular 3M Command Hook (affiliate link provided).
Mount one of the floral tile grid squares on top of the hook and you’ve got yourself a mighty fine (and patriotic!) modern day wreath!
Told you it was easy! 🙂

I’d never heard of a floral tile before – but it ended up making a great background for your wreath! Love that the printout can be changed for different seasons (or whatever).
